"It's ok, just let it all out."Just a few drops of colourless grief
is said to be able to achieve
a much needed temporary sense of relief.
"Go on, it helps, trust me."Shaking your shoulders silently
is said to cover up the puddle of self-pity
you so desperately want to wallow in.
"Just look on the bright side."Don't you know? The silver lining is just a myth
to ease young children's minds with.
There has never been any silver in gray clouds.Oh so many sympathetic faces staring stupidly at me.
It seems my tear-stained cheeks are quite a sight to see.
So if my puffy cheeks and red-rimmed eyes
don't look too obscene.
Then line up and pay five cents
to see the 'Misery-Queen.'
In the above lines,
sorrowful subtext and sarcasm is implied.
Because it's painfully obvious
that whoever said 'crying helps'
lied.___________________________________________Yet another poem inspired by yet another one of those days.
